Well, over 3 years have passed & today we paid our last payment !!!!

Standing order cancelled tonight, spoke with IP today, who said we will get copies of the letters sent out to our creditors & that it takes roughly 2 months to close off Trust Deed.

I actually can't believe it's over.....we are now officially £900 per month better off (hubby & I both had TD's)

It has been a very quick & (dare I say) painless process. And to anyone who has just begun, or has a while to go.....stick in there, the end will be here before you know it !!!!!

Wow... congratulations boys1211. What a relief that must be?

Have you come around to thinking about how to use that extra £900 per month yet? What a difference that will make I'd have thought?

Well done boys

Glad it has all worked out and hopefully there will be a timely closure.

Also, the extra £900 per month will make a noticeable difference I'm guessing.

All the best for the future.

Thanks guys,

£900 a month is a huge amount of money, and to be honest we have never ever had that kind of disposable income because even pre-TD that amount (and more) went to debt repayments !!! So it's a new dawn for us !!!! x

Congratulations! 7 more months and I'll hopefully be posting something similar. Not quite to the tune of £900 a month, right enough!!

Glad that's over with....

What we did with our extra was allowed ourselves (the wife and I),an allowance, upped our grocery allowance by 10% then put the rest in our savings account. We still have a budget, I am still as tight as a camels bum in a sandstorm but we have some savings now and have changed both cars (not for new but decent 2nd hand ones).

It is life changing and can give you a massive boost in income, just always remember what you have gone through to get where you are now.

Thank you Paul, I always love reading your posts. You are so right of course.
It's amazing how we have gotten used to spending much less without really missing out.

Its just getting the balance right now, but life is definitely better after our trust deeds.

Its just a shame we left it so long to sort ourselves out.

Must admit, like Plasticdaft I tend to be more frugal now.Find it easier to deal in cash rather than paying for things by debit card. Makes you more acutely aware of how much money you have to last[:D]

HiBoys1211 & Discopc

Congratulations on completing your Trust Deeds. Especially at this time of the Year. CIF makes a good point and well done CIF in adopting a educated approach to money post your Trust Deed.

Hopefully you will continue to add words of wisdom to the Forum as Plasticdaft has done over the years.

Regards
