Hi

We are due to make our final payments to our Sequestration next week.     I am due to also make a payment of £250 because I have a personalised reg number, which was agreed 4 years ago.    Will this/can this be paid with our final payment, and should we have some correspondence from our Trustee about this.    I asked about this when we completed our last financial review back in April/May and never received a reply, and during our 4 years we have completed reviews every 6 months, so thought we mightve been asked to do a final review around October, but nothing has been sent.

Will we be notified that our commitments have been completed from the Trustee company?

Thanks for any advice

Hi tigh.  That's great - almost there!  Your trustee would review your case for closure and would presumably identify that there is still a payment to be made for the number plate and contact you to confirm this.  Most trustees would also do a final review of your bank statements etc for the most recent period, just to check that you haven't received a windfall or increase in income or something like that prior to the end of the 4 years.

Some firms may be more proactive than others around closure time, depending on how efficient they are.  If you are keen to get everything wrapped up asap then you should just contact them and make arrangements to make the plate payment rather than waiting for them to get round to dealing with things.

Thanks Kevin, I'll try to call them.   It would be good to start the New Year afresh.
