Hey everyone,ย

I'm looking for some advice as I cant find anything concrete. So background, I entered into a Trust Deed about 2 years ago now and have been happily making my payments. Unfortunately my dad passed away earlier this year. We are just sorting out inheritance etc and I am going to have a 25% share in a couple of properties. Now I am totally aware that they will want these assets to be used to pay off my debts. The issue is my family dont want to sell, honestly I doubt either but thats not really my call. What powers or rights do they have in this situation?ย

I would speak to your Trustee if the family are unwilling to sell the properties then they would be looking for a Third Party to pay your share of the value of the properties.ย  I would always advise speaking directly to your Trustee as each Trustee has a different view on inheritance.
