Missed covid payments

Hi I have missed 9 payments due to covid pandemic my 6 year trust deed finishes this August I am liable to missed payments or should my trustee discharge me thanks.ย

Hi.ย  It really depends upon what was discussed with your trustee at the time, Youjoe.ย  Some trustees would treat that as a break which has to be made good at the end of the term with additional payments.ย  Other trustees may just treat it as a change in circumstances that doesn't require an extension.ย  Both are valid so you will really just need to speak to your Trustee to find out.

As Kevin advised you need to speak to your Trustee and get their decision in writing regarding whether the Trust Deed will be extended to ingather the missed payments.ย 

If you are unhappy with your Trustees decision it is very important that you talk to them about your concerns in the first instance so that the matter can be resolved between you.

If you are still unhappy with the reponse then you can contact the Trustee's Recognised Professional Body, Your Trustee can give you details.

Hopefully it can be resolved by speaking to your Trustee.
