Hi there,

So I received my form 5 at the start of April, but all of my credit reports still show all the debt I owe (as well as now the trust deed) so my credit is actually the worst its ever been.ย

How long do I leave it before contacting Carrington Dean (my trust deed company) or the companies themselves? It has been a huge relief to get off my TD but it does bother me that the debt is still showing after 3 months.ย

I actually paid the last payment to them in December last year, but they kept my account open until the March as it had to run 48 consecutive months. So the closing process has been over 4 months in total.

Hi Hamish 1205,

The general consensus is to contact your creditors. They are obliged to support you in having the debts removed, now that the Trust Deed has been satisfied. Search this forum, and you'll find a template letter you can use to contact them and request this.

Good luck
