credit file/report after trust deed

Hello all πŸ™‚
just looking for guidance i was discharged in feb trustees discharged in july am looking at my credit report and some accounts showing balances and updating every month ive tried contact lenders directly etc but unfortunately cant seem to get anything updated or balances to 0. can any recommend what they did or have done thats worked? am trying to clear my report best i can to hopefully get mortgage next year

It does take time and they are slow to update the info they have to the credit agencies. From memory they only have to mark them as "partially satisfied", once they are in receipt of the funds.

If you are getting fobbed off on the phone, then get the email address of the CEO and email a formal complaint and request a final response within 28 days. That should get results. If they give you a final response and it still doesn't look right, you can then refer them to the Financial Ombudsman Service. That will cost them Β£750 per case/company.

Don't think we are allowed to post links on here but if you a Google "CEO Email" that should bring up a site that gives you the email address for most, if not all of the companies you need.

There is a section on this site on the blue boxes on left hand side of page, which says Repair Credit Rating, if you read through that it gives you the information on how your credit report should show, and what steps you need to take.

thanks that is really helpful - ive tried calling the actual creditors and they have been less than helpful stating it has to be trustees that get in touch to settle. but ill take on your advice below and go from there πŸ™‚
