Good luck.
My ad went in the 27th May I think, not heard anything yet though.
If your ignoring calls/letters from numbers you don't recognise (like I was), it might be an idea to start answering them and make sure that any debts are included in the Trust Deed at this stage.

I have been answering calls and to be honest they have been very nice about it all. Hoping and praying that it goes protected!

I'm sure it will be fine. IP's work to a set criteria with 95% of creditors, so they know what to propose to have it accepted.

I'm sure it will be fine.

Try not to panic here folks.

I remember well when our TD were published and then having the waiting time for it to go protected. Its a time of constant worry especially as you, like me, have no experience of this sort of process etc.

The good news for you is that your TD practitioner will have had loads of experience of what to commit to in terms of payment etc and as this is built into your TD the likely hood of it not being made protected is very, very small. Also remember that even if some of your debts come back saying they are not accepting the TD as long as the majority creditors accept then it gets approved.

In my care I did have one query on just my TD (not my wives) regarding my petrol expenses on a monthly basis as this was a high figure. My practitioner simply confirmed the millage I do daily to get to work etc as a breakdown for the creditors and this was all acceptable.

Interestingly I would love to know what percentage of my creditors (and there was a lot in my case as I was in a real financial mess) actually responded to the TD notification. Apparently its common for some (including the big creditors out there) not to even bother responding...!

so sit back and relax as much as you can as you are on the road to financial recovery and in just 6'ish years (3'ish for your trust deed and 3'ish to build your credit rating again after the PTD) you will be in the situation of having no debt (apart from your mortgage) and a sound financial footing. I cant wait for that day...!

Col

Half way already!

It's been the only time my name has been mentioned in a Gazette and it just had to be the Edinburgh Gazette for my trust deed :o, named and shamed - but you will get over it quickly and that wait of 5 weeks to become protected I remember it well.....I got there in the end & so will you!

Good luck.

Hi notntodeedyet,

This can be the most stressful time for people when they enter into the Trust Deed. As we work to a set criteria I'm confident that we won't have any problems with your Trust Deed.

Try not to worry and as I said I'll give you a call next Tuesday the 23rd July to update you on the protection.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you are worried or want to discuss anything.

Hi notntodeedyet

As David says, we work to a set criteria, so know beforehand if the proposal meets that criteria.

I have no doubt it will be fine.

Mark

Lol I do mark!! Delighted to say that it is now protected with no objections. I can't fault David at all. And would highly recommend his company wylie and bisset. He kept me informed throughout and answered any questions I had timeously so I was reassured and didn't have to wait long worrying over nothing. Just another 35 payments to go and though it won't be easy in comparison to what it was it will be if you know what I mean x
