Week three is here And boy have my creditors stepped up their pace.

Letters, Calls, emails and even texts!

I spoke with most of them over the weekend when they called advising of the application for a PTD and giving out poor Nicola's details at RSM. Only for them to call again in a few hours asking for payment again!

I also noted that allot of the letters have started taking a much more formal and threatening nature. One even advised of court action within weeks if I do not pay!

All letters have been passed to my administrator to deal with.

With any luck I should be fully protected in the next 2 weeks and this will all start to come to a close or at least give me the peace of mind not to worry about further action being taken.

One question which occurred to me (which I need to ask my administrator) is around the responses from my creditors. Do I get notified of the final amounts from my creditors and if they agreed to the PTD or not?

Colski!

Half way already!

All the letters are a standard format. They'll be computer generated when the status of your account changes. You're doing all the right things. Sometimes though, you get to a stage when you've told different people in the same organisation the same thing, over and over again and it doesn't seem to sink in. That's when it's best to start ignoring the phone and just takez a note of any message left. It took about 6 months after I got protected for all the letters to stop. Keep in mind that once protected, there's nothing they can do. Also remember, debt collectors are like vampires. They can only come in if you invite them. Highly unlikely that that will happen but some people like to threaten it. Mercers did with me but it came to nothing. They're Barclaycards hired goons.

Nothing left to discharge - everything's done and dusted!

Hi colski.

I'm not sure whether you'll be given every detail automatically, but there is no reason for it not to be shared with you if you request for that to happen.

Hi all,

@TDA Fair enough... Its more just knowing what is happening... Im used to being in control of things (admitadly ive not been great at the finacies however) and not dealing with it myself makes me feel a bit in the dark.

@ Gillian... I had figured that... Having never had late letters before im a bit suprise at how agresive they are. And the calls are incredible... The best one for me at the weekend was someone refering to me as Mrs instead of Mr...

Got a great letter through from HSBC tonight telling me they had been notified of my IVA (even though it's a Trsut Deed) and as such they were freezing my accounts (although they didnt confirm it was just my accounts and not my mortage).

Passed on the Nicola at RSM... She will be getting fedup with all my emails.

I like to think trust deed firms have a list pinned up somewhere of who ranks in order of annoyance when it comes to creditors and debt collectors.

@Gillian - Yep... They should do...

Had another two calls asking for Mrs instead of Mr last night. When I challenged them on the name the poor sole on the other end of the phone went to pieces and stuttered his way through the call. I almost felt sorry for them!

Nicola and RSM confirmed all the details for me today regarding the closure of accounts with HSBC and refering to an IVa instead of a Trust Deed. She even offered to start calling the companies back who are calling me. Hats off to her for being so helpfull.

Colski,

I remember the 5 weeks that last a life time. I phoned my IP 5 weeks on the day to be told the good news, which I'm sure you will get as well.

@spacry1

Yeah it seems to take forever. That said I have had two letters from two different creditors saying the have noted the applications for an IVA in one case and a Trust Deed in the other and as such the are freezing the accounts... So things are moving on with it clearly.

The 15th March is 5 weeks to the day from when we appeared in the gazzet but as it's the Friday I will wait till the Monday to follow up with our TD Administrator.

Role on the 18th!

Wait... That means it's actualy Week 4 this week as we were entered intot he Gazzet ont he 8th Febuary... DOH... No wonder I had issues with money of I cant even count...!

I used to tell egg on the phone that both the wife and I(we had seperate credit cards with them)were entering trust deeds. They would say thats been noted on your files and hang up. 5 minutes later the same guy would phone back asking to talk to the wife!!!!

As for not knowing the difference between an IVA and a trust deed its completely ignorant of companies.

Paul

Trust deed completed Jan 2012,Trustee discharge Nov 2012.
A new dawn.

Spoke with my TD Administrator at RSM today and had it confirmed that I can not count.... This is infact week 4 as of today and Next friday will be the day, subject to no objections of value being recived, that the TD will go protected...!

Two of our creditors have come back alread with their claims (one each for both of us) so that's a good thing also....

Will be counting down the next 7 days with fingers crossed and baited breath for it all being approved.

I also got a few calls last night from Creditors confirming they have the application for the TD and asking me how this application is progressing... Really random!

Half way already!
