I have asked to speak to my trustee but its like trying to get a doctors appointment, is it usual that you do not get to speak to your trustee?

I have asked the relationship manager but i get excuse after excuse?

They are not god and they are getting paid a lot of money so why will they not speak to me? I just want to know what flexibility we have as expecting a change in circumstances unexpectedly (income going down a lot - not losing our jobs)?

It is very poor practice to not let you talk directly with your trustee who is well paid from your situation!!

Keep arguing on the phone. If you get nowhere ask to make a formal complaint.

Hi Pinkveggie

Sorry to hear about the problems. There's no issue speaking with the trustee in my firm if required, although most firms will have senior staff who should be able to give you a definitive answer to any points you may have.

Hi Pinkveggie,

A change in circumstances query would normally be dealt with by your relationship manager or a senior member of staff.

We probably have 3,000+ active cases on going at the moment and if our two Insolvency Practitioners, Gordon Chalmers and Donald McKinnon were to speak with everyone who initially called up looking to speak with them about a case query they would spend all day doing this.

Most IP's are set up in such a way that the relationship manager and then the senior manager would deal with the hands on running of a case and any queries from a client. I think it would only be in certain circumstances that IP's would speak directly with a client as they won't have the individual case knowledge that the relationship manager has.

Obviously if you want to speak directly with your Trustee then I don't see why you shouldn't be able to.

If your income has reduced then your relationship manager should carry out a review of your budget to determine what you can afford to pay towards your Trust Deed.

Thank you, my review has been completed and its better than what i thought, I sill think that to speak to my trustee just once would be good, but I get what you are saying regarding them not knowing my case which is a little complicated [:)]

I just wish i had picked one of the companies on here, we live and learn!
