Hi I receive my form 5 today. I have never been so happy. I feel like I can move on with my life and start a family as we have been putting this off until we were out of the trust deed. I would like to say thank you to all the experts on here for their great advice And this site has really helped me. Just reading through other peoples experience has helped. Just a silly question now I have received my form 5 is that everything on my part complete and I can slowly and sensibly rebuild my credit file again.

Congratulations ldc on the successful completion of your Trust Deed.

A combination of the experts opinions coupled with people sharing their own views and stories in relation to their situation really does make for a very useful and balanced site I think.

Good luck for the future and starting a family. Having the extra money will really come in handy!

Well done ldc.

As you've been discharged you can expect your creditors to update your credit file now. That doesn't mean that they will though, so be ready to give them a bit of encouragement if necessary!

Thanks for your kind words about the site.

Always pleasing to hear of people getting to the other side of a TD. Encouragement too for those starting out or partway through, you really can get a fresh start with a bit of hard work and careful budgeting.

Onwards and upwards.

It's been a week since I received my form 5 and the air website says I have been discharged. On my credit report done of the company say satisfied and some still show a balance. I know my credit report won't show changes automatically but what time would u say or should I contact the companies?

The longer you're prepared to wait the less work you may end up doing yourself ldc.

I'd give it at least a few weeks.

TDA is correct from my experience. Discharged in late Sept and left it till the January after, had a happy family Christmas, then like a dog with a bone I set about contacting those accounts not correct on my file. It took roughly 3-4 months to show satisfied, think files are updated monthly?

Well done ldc and mum1022:-)
