Hi

After lots of help and support from people here I have actually signed a TD today.

Mark has been very patient with my questions and requests. So
thanks Mark.

At times the stress has been quite overwhelming.

So thanks to everyone here whose advice and support is much appreciated.

The 5 week wait begins.

That is great news Ann, the stress will subside and anecdotal evidence on this site suggests that you are in exceptionally safe hands. Three years will fly by and your new found budgeting skills will stand you in good stead for long beyond that. It's a bright new future - enjoy.

Hi Ann

No problem, I'm sure it will all be fine.

Numbers look fine, so I'm not expecting any surprises.

Regards

Mark

Congrats on signing your TD ann910. I think going with a company from the forum is smart work as there seems to be a lot of companies out there looking to help themselves & not you. I wish I had found the forum before I signed up, so much information from it.

Hello Ann.

Best wishes from me as well.

I know it must be a nervous time, but I do hope that it passes quickly for you and all goes as Mark expects it to. I'm sure that it will.

I think it's the great unknowns which are the killer, but honestly we deal with these everyday and we maintain a dialogue on a daily basis and know exactly what creditors are looking for. That's the reason there are very few surprises and the proposal discussed and agreed at the start goes through with full creditor acceptance.

Hi

I am in the same position as Ann, just signed today with Mark's company. Just need to hope everything works out ok now and that I've made the right decision to go ahead.

Cancelled all the direct debits there which was a bit scary after spending the last few years switching things around from one place to another and borrowing more money to make sure i never missed a payment. I know now that was the wrong thing to do but at the time it seemed like the right idea......

As Ann said, thanks for your help organising it Mark and answering emails on a Sunday morning etc!

Sean

Welcome seand.

Congratulations on taking this big step and breaking the cycle of shuffling money between accounts to keep things ticking over.

Glad to hear that you've been served well by Mark and his team.

Hi SeanD, No problem. Glad to be of assistance.

Ive never thought of it as a 9-5 job and am more than happy like everyone on here to get involved whenever required.

It will be fine, figures all looked pretty good, so not expecting any problems.

One of the biggest fears we had was after cancelling the direct debits,it was a kind of "cant turn back now" and "what if the TD doesnt get accepted and become protected" thinking that was going on.

What you have to ask yourself is, could you carry on the way you are and get out of the debt without anything formal going on,and in our case the answer was a massive not a chance!!!

Best decision we have made in many years.

Oh and by opting to approach one of the insolvency professionals on here you have both made a great start to your new future.

Good luck with the nail biting 5 weeks, rest assured Mark will not be in the habit of wasting his valuable time putting forward proposals which wont be accepted(unlike the so called insolvency experts dealing with a wee fitbaw club!!)
