1 year left to go on trust deed and received annual review of expenses.
All previous reviews have required the completion of an expenditure form and submitting 3 wages slips, which has all been fine.
I have now received an expenditure form which is slightly different from previous ones, but fine all the same.
The only think I am confused about is that I have now been asked to submit 2 wages slips and 2 months bank statements. I have never been asked for bank statements previously, and wondering if this means something is wrong??
I have phoned and was told that they have always requested bank statements?? Confusing me again as I have never in the past 2 years been asked to provide bank statements??
I do not received printed bank statements as these are all online, and I don't have access to a printer. I have asked my bank to send me copies, which I am told will take up to 28 days.
This would be fine if the review form did not state that I would be in breach of conditions if this form and requested paperwork was not returned within 7 days??
Has anyone else had this problem? And what should I do?
Welcome to the forum JanSim.
It's perfectly normal to be asked to provide bank statements at your trust deed review. I don't think that there's any cause for alarm.
Maybe your provider has amended their review procedure.
You cannot produce bank statements that you don't have, so just let your trustee know that you're onto it and what the timescale offered by the bank was. I'm sure they'll have no issue with this once they know the background.
Hi jansim
I wouldn't read too much into this. I'm sure its just part of the ongoing process. Sometimes these things change through the course of the trust deed.
I'm sure it will be fine.

I'm with Wilson Andrew, had a 6 monthly and annual review - at both I had to submit 6 months pay slips and 6 months bank account statements
Every end has a start !!
Hi Jansim,
As others have said I wouldn't read too much into this. It's standard practice to request payslips and bank statements and sometimes procedures are changed in terms of what is requested.
A lot of my clients have online banking and email me a copy of their bank statements when requested instead of sending these in via post.
I do online banking but needed printed statements from my bank recently. I requested them and was advised it could be 28 days and within 5 days I had them through the post which the dog decided to have a nibble at. Had to request them again and I had them within a week of the request.
I'm sure the final year of your Trust Deed will soon pass and you'll be back on advising that you have completed your Trust Deed.

I spoke to my provider and they asked me to email my statements, which I have done and they have confirmed these have been received. I am a little concerned that they will have an issue with some of my spending. I took my gf away for 2 nights for her 30th birthday. My worry is that they will come back to me and say that if I could afford a holiday I could be paying more to my trust deed. How long can I expect to wait to hear if they do want to change my payments? The waiting is stressing me out. I did think about phoning them, but if they dont have any issues at them moment then I worried that if I phone this might raise concerns for them. I have about ยฃ60 spare at the end of the month and had saved this up for a few months for this break. Essentially I could pay this extra, but was hoping that payments would remain the same, and allow us to have a 'normal' christmas.
Taking your g/f away for 2 nights is hardly what they would call a holiday, and I am sure that social/special occasions are built in to the expenditure (I may be wrong though).
Hi JanSim
It is all about balance and as tinsoldier says, I dont think this should be an issue.
If you are allocated a figure for food or whatever and decide to eat cheaper beans to save for something else, then there can be no issue. Sorry, its a rubbish example, but hopefully there's a point in there somewhere. There should be no variation if your income is the same and there has been no real changes in fixed costs ie rent, council tax etc.

For instance, what if there was an emergency and you had to travel somewhere and have an overnight stay? This would also show up as an expenditure but things like this are sometimes unavoidable. I really would hope your TD provider shows flexibility here.
There has got to be a bit of flexibility in a trust deed otherwise it will end up falling apart because any unforeseen expense is going to tip it over.
Also, it is not up to the trustee to tell you what you are allowed to spend your money on - they allow a certain amount for your various living costs and then you manage how exactly you spend that yourself.
