If you ever get put through to India you can ask to be put through to their UK call centre, they have to do it.
Im personally thinking of doing an evening class in hindu ๐
When I went for my new phone in January (T-Mobile), I had the same problem with "Out of Stock".
I went into the local shop and asked if they had the phone in stock, they did ... so they gave me one from the shop. Could be risky though because they had to cancel the contract I had setup online and do a new one in-store, but I didn't have to do the credit check because I'd already passed it online. I just had to prove my identity, sign the form and walked out with a new phone.
The Good news is I have a new Iphone 4 in my hand right now, so it really is possible to get a contract with bad credit rating. Vodafone all the way.
Hi TDA, I've just sent this MSG via iPhone
I think to myself how we used to surf the internet before iphones, ipads and wifi etc.
I can remember having to boot my pc up, run the internet cable to the phone line through the house and sit at my computer desk normally in the spare room to look on the internet. Every so often someone would pick up the phone and get an earful of noise. Then the phone bill would come in...
Now you have everything within your hand and can surf the internet any place and time.

Adding to this thread a bit late but....knocked back from Vodafone yesterday via Carphone Warehouse. I just thought that I had nothing to lose, as I already have a contract with Orange. Really wanted to move from them though for a couple of reasons.
That said, I just called Orange and threatened to leave unless they matched the Carphone Warehouse deal. Been with them 10 years and glad to say they obliged. Now paying slightly less for unlimited minutes and text, doubled by Dataplan and got a top end phone. Sometimes it is just worth sticking where you are[8D]
I've been with O2 for about 10 years. They seem to reward loyalty and will match or better comparative deals from other network providers - but only if you push for it!
Glad that's over with....
Hi CIF,
Was it the credit check that you failed with Carphone Warehouse?
Sounds like Orange rewarded your loyalty. Sometimes it worthwhile phoning up and threatening to leave or discuss a new deal to see what you can get. Well done.

This will make you smile!
I applied for an iphone 5 through 3 online. Obviously failed the credit check so therefore didn't get a phone. The following day 3 telephoned me to say that I had been accepted, just wanted to check some security details with me and they would send the phone out. I received a shiny new iphone 5 two days later.
On Saturday, I received a call from 3 to advise that as I was one of their top customers and had been with them for SO long (4 months) they wanted to reward my loyalty so were offering me another contract with the new iphone 5c! I had to pass a credit check, which I did with flying colours (their words, not mine) and my boyfriend has a lovely new iphone!!!
Just goes to show![?]
Hi David, I didn't ask but it couldn't have been anything else I don't think[?]
Ahh David, you're making me feel old now. When I reminisce about computers it is usually the zx spectrum that springs to mind. No connection to phonelines necessary - just a cassette recorder!
Sorry - getting sidetracked! It must be that Friday afternoon feeling.
