Hello all,

My trust deed was protected as of September. I’m happy I went through with it in the end with Harper McDermott at trust deed Scotland the process was easy and they stayed in touch with me all the way. My credit score as everyone knows is now non existent and i wish I could ignore it but it I’ve still been checking. A new credit agreement has been added it doesn’t say much else by a company called link financial which looks like a debt collector. Is this standard? I thought due to me me being in a trust deed the company’s are happy with the agreement but it looks like the debt has been sold on.

Thank you.

Dean

Good morning@dcam

It's absolutely nothing that you need to worry about and happens all the time in Trust Deeds.

Basically Link Financial has bought over a debt that was included in your Trust Deed and now legally owns the debt. They will receive the dividend payment.

You and your Trustee should  receive a letter from Link Financial advising who the original creditor was and that it is now assigned to them.
