At a meeting and the person had previously called one of the firms who advertise in the media frequently.
He was advised that on completion of the Trust Deed, their credit file is returned to exactly the same position it was on their 18th birthday. Strangely that's the second time I've heard this in as many weeks.

We've spoken to people that have been told that by a certain firm as well Mark.
Some people really will do or say anything to "convert a case".
Note to readers - Your credit file will not revert to how it appeared on your 18th birthday!
It's quite worrying the information that is given out regarding Trust Deed's etc. When I was researching finical options to get me out of my black hole I spoke to a few companies (main stream advertisers) who told me all sorts of things which didn't make sense Your debt needs to include your mortgage, You need to have life insurance, you need to pay your fees in advance to us etc Thanks goodness I did my research first and didn't just sign with the first person.
I thought the regulations on this would be much more strict (and I appreciate they are for the trustee when appointed) but it does seem that anyone can jump on the band wagon as a middle man.
Resetting your credit file to when you were 18 really doesn't make sense. It's a shame some people will get taken in with lines like this.
I actually pulled my credit reports yesterday to see what was happening and it's alarming the out of date and inaccurate information held on me. Relationships listed still to my ex-wife despite being told about separating, old accounts showing live when they were closed years ago etc. Resetting mine back to when I was 18 would be nice actual what's the number of this company that can do it and can they return me to how I looked and my fitness levels when I was 18 also? lol.
Half way already!
I wonder if they had credit reports when I was 18!

No, that was the New Romantic era. Full of colour, guys in make up ( not me!) wearing hellish clothing going to the Penthouse or Henry Africa's ( Glasgow)
Ahh! The memories.
