Finally made my last payment this month!
It's been a tough road but surprisingly passed quicker than I expected.
If anyone is daunted by the length of a Trust Deed, don't be. It's worth the effort!

Just a quick question to anyone who can help-

I have paid my last payment but have not been officially released from my Trust Deed yet.
My mother is planning on buying a van for my business needs and I was wondering if I am safe to do this, or would it be at risk of being repossessed to pay more to the creditors?

Thanks!

Talk to your trustee to ensure this doesnt impact on the trust deed, shouldnt be a problem.

Congratulations morphon. It's great to be able to add your name to the growing list of recent "finishers" here.

I think Paul's suggestion is good. Talking to your trustee to prevent problems from happening in the future is always a good idea.

Another thought... maybe your mother could buy herself a van and lend it to you for a while?

Well done and all the best looking forward.

If your Mum buys the van and has proof and there is no formal document transferring it, the its will be fine as it will be her purchase. Belts and braces you could draw something up confirming that you have the use of it only. Even if the V5 is in your name, that doesn't show ownership, only the keeper of the vehicle.
