Hey,

Around nov time my i&e was updated to around the £500 mark, in April I asked to review this as my income had dropped through change of role and also child tax had stopped.i got told I could possibly be entitled to a refund if I've over paid throughout these months.

My TD hadn't got back to me in a month so I called and asked to get an update, still no update but was asked if I could pay the previous amount before the last increase, I said yes an have continued to do so.

I've phoned up almost every month since an still not had a confirmed update on the finalised i&e.
I have now just found out that the i&e has been done but not finalised an they are saying that I have to pay the original amount £500 for the months I've paid the previous amount (from April)
This came as a blow as I have one month left to pay an I have been in regular communication with them an was not told this would've been a possibility at any point during this.
Looking at my i&e there is big differences in salary/ benefits an my partners student grant has finished in July also so the house has had inconsistent income, what baffles me is the £500 is still the expected figure which was taking from last October i&e

Does this sound right?

Hi Discopc

No, I think you should get back onto them and get them to re review this.

If there has been a material change in income downwards, then the contribution level should reflect this.

Thanks Mark,

I will contact them again however the person who seems to finalise this is out of office for 3 weeks, this is why it took so long to confirm as around April time they were not available either and just got dragged on .

Thanks

Sounds like you've been doing your best to keep them updated, discopc - unfortunately your trustee isn't returning you the same courtesy. Pretty poor really. Keep on at them!

Hi Kevin, thanks for replying, yes it seems poor communication on their behalf may have resulted in a build up of arrears that I will have to pay at the end an my 3 years extended, what I thought was one more pay at £370 has now turned into +£1100

Hi Discopc.

The firms that Mark, Kevin, David and Rob work for are clearly marked on their profile pages (main menu to the left, or buttons in their forum signatures).
