I thought I was seeing things tonight on tv when a new advert appeared. It was Mr Trust Deed Expert himself only now he's branched out and has become Mr PPI Expert too. I just want to throw something at the tv every time I see or hear him.
Hi AlphaB
Is that the one where the pretend guy tries to sell you a loan and then a talking wardrobe comes through the door and tries to sell you debt relief. As my Mum says, if it looks like a wardrobe and it acts like a wardrobe....
Changed days indeed!

PPI claims companies certainly are getting a hard time in the media right now. To be fair they have done an enormous amount of work to make the public aware that they may have been victims of greedy unethical sales practices at banking institutions that people really thought that they could trust.
It's hard to get away from the fact that reclaiming PPI is pretty straightforward though. Most people could save themselves hundreds (sometimes thousands) of pounds by simply making the PPI claim on their own.
Recent data in the media suggests that success rates aren't significantly improved by using a claims company rather than doing it yourself.
Dear All,
As TDA says, you could do your own PPI reclaim and save money. Alternatively getting a PPI firm to do the work can save time, hassle and they are getting results for people. Check they have the relevant Licence to act in this field, which i understand to be a MOJ Licence.
I myself have chosen the "do it yourself" route - yes I in my younger days took out PPI, I think - Reputable Bank checking at the moment. Not sure how I will get on but understand that on top of the reclaim if due I will be due compensation and statutory interest.
To consider for anyone out there in same position is that Tax is due on the compensation and statutory interest in line with Tax Code.

How do u claim for PPI by yourself ??
I had a mortgage for 10 years with PPI could i be entitled to anything??
There are some good guides to this on some of the consumer websites bj71.
"Which?" has a PPI complaints tool which it says will produce your complaint for you after you fill in some details.
There's plenty of good information about PPI claims on MoneySavingExpert as well (along with plenty of duff information about trust deeds in their forum!).
Hi Mark, no its not that one, I know the one you are thinking of but that is him still with his Trust Deed hat on. This is a brand new advert where it is just for PPI reclaims. He must be a very busy man...
Sorry AlphaB
Was confusing my wardrobes with my sideboards!
