Comes another letter from Equity In Finance saying they have to chase PPI on behalf of my trustee and would I fill in and return the attached form!!!!!![:(!] The last time this happened, my discharge got delayed by a further 8 months. Although to be fair, I hadn't received the form 6 at that point. I called my case manager and he sounded sooooooo exasperated over the phone when I mentioned the words Equity In Finance. I feel it's no longer a beneficial relationship to them. Fingers crossed I don't get another letter in a few weeks saying congrats, your claim was upheld.

Best of it is, the letter was dated about 4 days after the one I got for the form 6.

Nothing left to discharge - everything's done and dusted!

Hi Gillian

It's weird them calling you as the Trustee will be discharged 14 days after the Form 6 letter and therfore would have no locus to pursue the PPI as he will no longer be in office.

I can imagine your exasperation, but it appears that it will thankfully be all over soon.

It really doesn't sound as though the communication is good gillian.

From the sounds of the employee reaction though it may be that it isn't your trust deed provider at fault for the continued contact.

There's no shortage of reference to Equity in Finance on all sorts of forums at the moment.

No,I don't think it's Invocas to blame for this at the moment. The reaction I got from my manager seemed to be one of 'not this again!'. He said he was going to call and email them and make sure that they were aware of the position. Honestly, it's a case of subtitles for the hard of thinking! The only fault Invocas have is to have hired a company that are crap at what they do.

If you have had your discharge from your trustee, I wouldn't sign a thing, this should all have been sorted within the three years.

Out of interest can a IP withdraw or retract a discharge form 5 or 6 to tie up unfinished business?

Hi Sparky

It's a good point, but the trustee is discharged 14 days after the creditors get Form 6. I don't see how he could undo it.

Trust deeds are so complicated. I always thought that if you receive a form 5 from the IP - That's it you're obligations are finished,, end of,, finished.

I'm guessing I will be issued a form 5 as my trust deed was signed in 2010, for 36 payments - 3yrs or do I receive a form 6 as well???

Hi Sparky

Firm 5 is the trustee discharging you, whereas Form 6 is the trustee requesting his discharge from the creditors.

Well, EIF called me this morning (I was on nights last night, had been sleeping for an hour at this point. Imagine how pleased I was). They were very apologetic and told me the person responsible is no longer with the company due to other instances of this ineptitude. I asked had they only sacked them on Friday as I got a letter from them yesterday. Amongst the grovelling and me growling at them, the person I spoke to said they were sent details from my credit report by Invocas at the beginning of February this year. I've just sent an email off to ask about this. Someone's not telling the truth and I intend to find out who.
