I've now paid the 12th out of 36 payments and completed my 1st annual review, thankfully my payments are remaining the same.
I've also just signed and returned 10 different forms as they are now looking into any potential ppi claims - does this mean that these claims should be finalised by the time TD finishes? And therefore hopefully Trustee will discharge both me and himself fairly quickly after last payment?

I'm hoping the next 2 years go as quickly as the last one and I'm so glad I sought help before things got even worse

final payment 1st May 2015

I would certainly hope so mummy2twins, sounds like your trustee is getting on with things.

Hi Mummy2twins,

I would agree with Kevin in that I would hope they would be resolved prior to the completion of you payments.

I was listening to radio 2 last night on my drive home from an evening appointment and they had the head of the Financial Ombudsman Service on speaking and the rise in complaints. She was asked about PPI and said that in her opinion only 10% of people have complained about the possibility of PPI being mis-sold. She said that over 55 million policies had been sold to date. It's a staggering amount of policies which have been sold to people and the amount of money that could have been made from this if the miss-selling aspect hadn't came about.

I'm sure your remaining two years will soon fly by and you'll be back on advising that you have one payment to go.

Only 6 months until your halfway point and then you can tick down the months until its all over. Great news.

I think most people are generally surprised how quickly it passes as the process, to an extend, is limited to a standing order payment each month after the work at the start.

Hopefully the next 2 years will go quickly.

Well done mummy2twins.

The fact that PPI is being dealt with now should greatly reduce the chances that there will be any related delays later.

Hi, I have just made my 12th payment of 36, completed a 6 month review previously and payment remained the same expecting my next 6 month review forms shortly and hopefully payments will remain at the same level. It has been a quick year with some tight months but I have got by each month and it is a hard lesson on dealing with budgets but really satisfying to actually get by and paying cash for everything. Have filled out forms for PPI and received one cheque so far which I sent on to my trustee. I really feel I should change my log in name as though I still worry about unexpected bills I know I can contact my IP firm to discuss and feel that they would help where possible. It is a big thanks to my IP firm (one of the four represented here)that I have got this far and look forward to being at the half way point at Christmas time.
