Feeling so much more positive. We have today received the forms for voluntary surrender from Northern Rock which my husband will sign tonight and get sent away. We sign the lease and pick up the keys to the new house on 30th March (or earlier if we are ready. His trustee has came back and said the forms look fine so to go ahead and sign them, they have confirmed with NR that the shortfall will go in to the trust deed.
Husband has spoken to someone else at NR who has said as long as all our belongings are out of the house and nothing at all is left behind then he doesn't see why the asset management company would need to post any notices on the windows although he advises my husband meets the asset managers on the day they come to change the locks and has a word with them to ensure they dont need to put notices up, he thinks if we show them there is nothing left in the house to pick up then they may not do it, can't guarentee it but at least it's a step in the right direction.
Actually finally beginning to see some light at the end of the tunnel and excited to move on. Of ciurse I wont feel completely relaxed until the house is actually finally sold and the trust deed concluded but with the house move we can increase the payments and fingers x'd the trust deed should conclude in the summer next year instead of 2 1/2yrs still to go and with any luck the hosue will be gone by then too.
It's thanks to the wonderful advice i've had from this site that i've been able to finally do this and make a better life for us.
its all steps in the right direction trustdeed1,I am so pleased that the house issue is getting sorted. Fingers crossed they wont need to put the stickers up.

A new dawn.
Great news. Some times it just takes a bit of perseverance.
Hopefully it will all conclude shortly.
