Not posted for a while but I still like to pop in every so often to see how everyone is getting on...... I have a quick question to ask the experts for a chum.....

She is about to enter a Trust Deed, she has advised her family of the situation and they are supportive..... Her mother has decided to change her will and write my friend out of it and divide the estate between the other siblings, with the unwritten proviso that the siblings see her right once her Trust Deed is over..... (That's if she dies during the time she's in Trust Deed)

Is this allowable or could she face sanctions if the Trustee finds out ?

Hi Porcupine

Don't worry it is entirely fine to change this. A person can make whatever amendments they wish to a will, trust deed or not.

Hi Porcupine,

It's the mothers assets to do what she wants with. If she wants to change the will there will be no repercussions from the Trustee for your friend.

Inheritance is something that does come up in a Trust Deed so it's good your friend has been able to speak with their family about the Trust Deed.

Am good TDA, enjoying debt free life..... Since Trust Deed finished last May I've managed to have a few weekends away and a holiday abroad plus I now actually have savings in the bank....... Done absolutely nothing to improve my credit rating lol, happy just paying my way now without the aid of credit cards or loans.....

Best thing I ever did was to discover this place and get help...... My only concern is what the hell did I spend all my money on previously, !!!!!!!

Take care.....

Where the money went is a mystery to us too!

Glad your doing ok. I've not really done anything towards improving my credit rating other than getting a vanquis card. Trust deed should drop off records in may/june thus year and the defaults a month or two after, except one from prudential which is 9 months out of date so I should chase that along.

Trust deed completed Jan 2012,Trustee discharge Nov 2012.
A new dawn.

Hi Porcupine

It's scary to think it was 2010 when you first posted.

Really pleased it all worked out. Still got the same screensaver?

Hi Porcupine.

It's great to hear that. Sounds like you've made all the right decisions (for you) since putting the trust deed behind you.

I'm curious about this screensaver now!
