I agree that it's unprofessional, poor service and generally very bad form and yet this standard of customer care seems quite normal for many firms from reading some of the posts on this forum.
I'm afraid, Paul, that you are assuming same level of care and efficiency in others as you would offer yourself in their position. If only.
I think we see this in every industry?
Lots of firms offer similar products and services for similar prices. The thing that really divides them is the level of customer service and professionalism they deliver.
And that's exactly why this Forum is SO important for people before they sign up with any of those firms with poor service. Thank you again for all the good work you do in steering people right.
Hi - Just like your work colleague, my final payment was made in October 2011 and still don't have my discharge. Just been on the phone again to trustee today only to get the usual excuse of the PPI issue. They don't appreciate how important this is as obviously your credit file cannot even begin to start being 'repaired' if your creditors still haven't been paid! I forgot to ask if they had taken their fees which I'm sure they have but they probably wouldn't tell me anyway as their comments are constantly 'we can't comment on that matter', no matter what you ask them. I want to try and get a mobile phone contract but am too frightened to even enquire about it. How do you start to move on when this is still hanging over you?
The trust deed stays on your credit file for 6 years from starting so getting mainstream credit until that point may be difficult.
Figaro,do you have any ppi that was mis-sold?
Regarding mobile phone contracts 3 are slightly less stringent with credit checks.
Trust deed completed Jan 2012,Trustee discharge Nov 2012.
A new dawn.
Hi Figaro49
Assuming your trust deed started on or after April 2008, there is no reason whatsoever for delaying the discharge assuming all payments have been made. As outlined in a number of previous posts, the trustee can easily discharge you, but remain in office himself to deal with ppi etc.
