I hope someone can help. I am on maternity leave and signed a trust deed in February. I have just been made unemployed as the business has closed. The business has lots of debts and my boss cant pay me 'just now'. I need to contact my trustee but I'm worried what they will say. I am going to contact them today but was wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and what the outcome was.

Hi Dredd
If you are unable to make the payments, the Trustee's only option is to petition for bankruptcy. It may well be that they will allow some time period to see how things develop re job etc, but if you are unable to make payments, they will need to look at bankruptcy.

I spoke to my Trustee and they were great and very understanding so no need to worry yet.

Good news DRedd. It's always good to hear of trust deed firms being supportive.
Has a plan been established in terms of where things will go from here?

DRedd fingers crossed you get something sorted. Do you have property with equity that would be risked through bankruptcy?
