Well it's been a while coming, but tomorrow marks the day of what should be my final payment. 42 of 42 complete. I actually made my last combined payment in December, so this is simply a mile stone in reaching the end. I'm so looking forward to the next steps both in the TD process and in life. A lesson has been learned #128515;

Congratulations Ally in meeting all your payments, it's a huge relief to be debt free don't think we will ever forget it. It does make you centre on what you want and what you actually need.
Wish you all the best for your life ahead.
From our prospective its a second chance at a stress free financial life which to this day years on we continue to be debt free (apart from our car loan) with savings growing in the bank.
This post is not by any way 'a look at me' meant in a bad way, the opposite in fact. There is a financial future to come again, once you recognise you are in a financial mess and take that first step to getting help with it.
For some it's a pride thing to ask for help for others it's a head in the sand but there will come a time when you realise that it has to be done no matter how your personal situation came about there is help, there is hope, and there definitely is an end.
Sorry for derailing your topic Ally think its relevant to give others hope. Well done again a wee celebration on the cards soon?

Building up savings.
No worries at all with the post and thanks for the positive comments Twizzle, I know exactly what you mean.
I was never happy about signing a TD but it really was the only way of claiming my life back. They only problem I have these days is justifying a purchase. I do feel that I owe my family something for being patient with the TD, but they'll not be getting it though until the money is saved and the bank lol.

Hi SkintAlly
Great post and well done in reaching the end.
A mysterious title finished off with that mysterious number, but all was explained in the end.
All the very best for the future.
