I've just spoken with a company regarding a trust deed, but feel that I wouldn't be able to make the payment they're suggesting. Should I look elsewhere?

Hi Endofmytether and welcome to the trust deed forum.

You're correct to be concerned. Three years is a long time and you shouldn't commit to a trust deed payment that you do not believe is manageable. Potentially you risk replacing simply one problem with another.

Speaking to a couple of other trust deed companies certainly seems to make sense so that you have a better idea about where you stand.

Hi endofmyteather

the Trust Deed needs to be workable and affordable. There are certain limitations on expenses, but as TDA said, it's an important decision and you need to make sure it's the correct one.

Hi Endofmytether

A Trust Deed is not there to make your life more difficult! Obviously finances will be tight and you will be working to a budget for the period of the Trust Deed but it should not be unmanageable. Make sure you can afford what you agree to pay, before you sign anything.
