Hi All,
Not been on for a while and just need a couple of things answered.
1. I signed my TD on the 14th April 2010 so does it end in 3 days? 🙂
2. My first payment was the 1st June 2010 so when is my last (bit confused on this one) is it 1st May's payment or 1st June's payment?
3. Does my discharge start taking place on the 14th April or after my last payment?
4. Do we just cancel our direct debit payment or do we wait till we get a letter from our Trustee, which hopefully May's payment is the last.

Hi sam21.
If you agreed to a three year trust deed your payments should be complete upon the payment of the 36th instalment. There are of course exceptions to this if things have changed or not quite gone to plan during the term, or if there are assets to be dealt with.
The process of discharge should start soon after you make the final payment that is due. Hopefully you're with a firm that handles this promptly.
If you're sure that the final payment has been made I'd just cancel the payment. You may wish to double check the status with your trustee first.

By my reckoning, if its a 36 month Trust Deed:
1. It will end ( as such) on receipt of the final payment.
2. 1st May should be the 36th payment.
3. After the last payment.
4. Probably best to check with the Trustee, but you should be in a position to cancel after the final payment has been made.

Thankyou for your answers, we have had no missed payments so everything ok, no assets etc, it's Carrington Dean so hopefully should be ok. The 36 months flew in!
