Hi guys
Not sure if you can help but here goes.
Just over a year ago my wife and I started the Trust deed with knightsbridge separately all was OK and reasonable payments started. Then my wife became pregnant so once maternity started KB agreed reduced payments due to my wife's reduced wages. At that time we where advised to do a joint expenditure form so my payment reduced from £268 to £156 and we where advised that once my wife returns to work we should do another expenses form. We where also told that that the arrears could be added onto monthly payment or added on at the end Now that's been done and I'm now bringing in less per month due to rent etc and csa payments But KB now want me and my wife to pay £347 and £341 which is £79 extra per month and does not include arrears
I'm confused to why it's higher than before when our outgoings are more per month knightsbridge advised it's because we done it as a joint expense form? Surely it should of been separate as my wife will not be left with any money now
Sorry for the long story
Basically me and my wife are now bringing in less but knightsbridge want more because it was done as a joint expenditure? I'm confused :/
Hi delpy8
The level of contribution should be based on income and expenditure. I note the comments on the decrease in income, however has there been any change in expenditure?

Hi Mark
Thanks for the quick reply. My wage has increased by £40 and we get child benefit of £88 since we started the Trust deed my outgoings have increased due to rent and council tax and an extra £126 to the csa
So yes we have less money to spend but the adviser said the reason we are paying more is because it was done as a joint expenditure form?
I also find it strange that they have not taken into account my two children that stay every second weekend as this was all included when we started the Trust deed. But the adviser knew nothing about this?
Hi delpy8
You should have a copy of the original income and expenditure and should highlight the costs agreed at the start of the trust deed to the trustee and argue for a reduction in contribution if the overall picture has a reduced surplus.

Have you seen a copy of the joint income and expenditure form they've put together delpy8?
If not I'd ask them to provide you with a copy.
You may find that there's an error on there which can be quickly corrected.
Thanks Mark will be speaking to them again today
Hi the joint income and expenditure they sent out is totally different from what we sent them for Eg our sky bill per month is £75 but they have is £23?? I'm still confused as they basically said you will pay more since its a joint expenditure form
I'm struggling to understand that comment also delpy8, so it might be more useful to focus on the numbers themselves. Whatever has been said the payment should be based upon affordability.
It's usually just the basic Sky TV package that would be an allowable expense. I believe that costs £23. You can pay more, but it might have to be subsidised from another allowance.
Are there other figures on there which you have a concern about?

Hi again they are asking us to resubmit 3 months bank and and wage slips and now doing separate expenditure forms? My wife spoke to them today and asked where they got there figures from and they could not answer so my thoughts are that they were just trying to get more money out of us which is a shame as they had been helpful until now
Hi delpy8
Strange that it is being done on a separate basis.
Easiest way is to look at total income and total expenditure and then calculate what percentage each of you have in relation to the total amount of expenditure ie your income represents 55% of the total income and therfore calculate 55% of each expense.
I hope this makes sense.

Logically that's what I thought but they did say we are paying more because it was done as a joint expenditure? I will just need to wait and see
Thanks both Very much appreciated
