Hi, I'm wondering if I can get a little help...my partner and I were hoping to get our first house together, ive recently been looking on my credit report and it shows up on my public records that there's been a trust deed granted, issued by Scotland, arrangement date 25th May 2017,court reference no 2017/503225.
I did look into a trust deed years ago but decided against it, I've not been paying any monthly repayments to anyone, I got in contact with trust deed Scotland but they don't have any records off me, I don't have any issues with debt I'm working and my finances are fine.
I'm just at a bit off a loss as it's effecting my credit really bad.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum Tracy121.

A few things here don't sound quite right. Are you certain that it's a trust deed registered on that date on your credit report?

I'm wondering whether instead there might be an entry of some sort in the "public records" section of your credit report. This public records section could include details about a trust deed, but it can also can include other things as well.

Hi thank you for getting back intouch with me, i honestly can't get my head around this and it's causing such a burden for my credit.

The information on the last post is all I have I'm afraid #128552;

As I said before I'm not in any kind of agreement with a trust deed,

I've been trying to sort this out for months but struggling

I've also checked a different credit report site, and under rulings...bankruptcies & insolvencies its got case 2017/503225 active,
Arrangement date 26/5/2017
Restriction...none
Court...Scotland
Insolvencies order I'd 1985581
Don't know what all this means

Is it possible that a creditor has tried to take you to court to recover money from you Tracy121?

Hi Tracy,

2017/503225 fits the format of a valid Trust Deed reference, and is in line with the start date of 25 May 2017.

It would appear you likely signed a Trust Deed in 2017, but then decided against it, but by then it was already "advertised" to your creditors with that reference and recorded on your credit report.

I wouldn't have any idea how you could sort this out though - maybe speak to Trust Deed Scotland again?

Hi Tracy121,

Have you tried raising a dispute with the credit reference agencies, and maybe contact the company you contacted to enquire about taking out a Trust Deed to see if they can help

As baronv says, 2017/503225 is the correct format for a Trust Deed reference. I have checked on the Register of Insolvencies and there are no results, so it is certainly not currently active.

Did you sign anything when you looked into a Trust Deed back then and then changed your mind? If so, they may have already put the notice on the register prior to terminating the process. This would have been picked up by the credit reference agencies.

Hi, I don't think I did sign anything as it was all spoken about over the phone, I've emailed trust deed Scotland again hopefully they can assist me to get this sorted, I've also tried to raise a dispute with the credit references but they said I need proof I'm no longer in the trust deed from the court or something so not really sure how to go about that

You might want to contact the Accountant in Bankruptcy Tracy121.

Even though your reference doesn't appear on the Register of Insolvencies, I'm sure they have records of your case and will be able to provide you with a written confirmation of what happened at the time.

This might be a good starting point in terms of bringing your credit rating up to date.

Would just like to say thank you to everyone for your recent advice,I got in touch with AiB and it turns out proceedings for a trust deed we're started on 26th May 2017 with pinnacle Insolvency however the case did not become protected, therefore I did not enter into the trust deed,
I'm now getting in touch with my credit agencies and hopefully they will remove the entry from my credit file,

This is such a massive relief #128522;ive been wonder why I've always been refused credit or even an overdraft from my bank, hopefully my credit will build up in the future and my partner and I will eventually get on the property ladder...
