Hi, another question, I have been approached by a charity, I am friendly with the woman that runs it and she would like me to act as treasurer for the Charity. If I enter into a trust deed would I be able to do this. I don't want anyone to know about my trust deed but I also don't want to hide anything should it all come out in the end? I'm not sure what to do, please advise where I stand, thank you.

I'm not aware of any legalities that prevent you from doing this whilst in a trust deed, Stephanie, though may stand to be corrected on this.

I'd be careful of taking up any position where money handling is involved as your insolvency notice is publicly available and some people may not be keen if they found out about your financial troubles.

I would ask for a copy of the Charity's constitution and review it prior to taking the appointment. It may contain restrictions on office holders who are in an insolvency procedure.

I think that's excellent advice from Voice Of Reason.

The rules of the charity itself seem like the most likely impediment.
