Time taken to complete TD process

Hi all, I have been lurking on here for a while but thought it was about time to post!

I hope that someone can answer my question. I signed a TD back at the start of February, with RSM Tennon. I am still waiting for it to become protected although the five week period passed about six weeks ago with no objections. My Trustee has told me that there is a backlog in getting TD's registered with the AIB, I have searched the register on their website, but cannot find my name yet. How long should it take to become registered.

I am now getting increasingly threatening letters from my creditors, including one telling me that they are have made an appointment to come to visit me at home. I am about to make my third payment next week, and am still feeling the increasing pressure.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Marty

Welcome to the forum MartyS.

I'm sure everything is fine, but hopefully Kevin can comment and reassure you when he next visits the forum.

Hopefully one of the experts will be along to give you far better advice than I can , seems to me to be a strange situation I can't recall anything on the forum about delays to trust deeds . Though there was some advice about dealing with phone calls , such as asking the name of the person calling / and the company they are calling on behalf of etc , hopefully someone will point you to the right thread. Might be helpfull to remind them about your trust deed and the company who represents you , and pass the callers details onto your trustee , if your deed has become protected it does take companys longer than others to update records , bit worried when you get letters from a creditor , talking about coming to your home. I have been in the same situation along with others on this forum , we are with you , you are not alone no matter how bad it seems . Taking out the deed is the first step to helping you take back control. Regards Pinalta .[:)]

Hi Martys

I would t worry too much. If there was no objections then take it as confirmed.

After the 5 weeks we report the protection to the AIB and the simply register it.

Hi MartyS

I'm not aware of any such delays with the AIB, but maybe there is another issue here causing a complication? If you could get in touch with me via the Contact Kevin button with your name and address details then I can check this out.
