I'm posting on here so I don't end up going mental over the phone at a Think Banking "money manager". 3 times I have been on the phone to them about the same problem. My Trust Deed payment is down to come out twice every month... Wilson Andrews have said everything Is fine at their end. As a result, the budgeting they are supposed to take care of is completely wrong. 3 times I've spoken to them about it- it's not rocket science- just take the extra payment off??????? Seriously my 9 yr old could do their job a lot better. They've been told this is the last chance they're getting.
Rant over!

Rant away Nemo1!

Sorry you're experiencing this inconvenience.

A couple of folks from the group of companies of which thinkbanking is part post here from time to time. Hopefully they'll help to put things right if they spot this thread. Wilson Andrews and thinkbanking are part of the same group so you'd expect this could easily be resolved...

I've just logged back into my account... Now, they STILL have my TD payment coming out twice, and have taken away my husbands TD payment altogether!!! Seriously, where do they find these people?! I'm going to leave it tonight, and check again in the morning. If it's not fixed, god help whoever answers the phone to me tomorrow!

Barry Stewart from Wilson Andrews has posted on the forum before. I am sure if you contact him, he will get things sorted for you. Money is tight enough without additional worries.

I'm going to offer a different point of view.

When I first read your post, I though you were saying that you had an unusual arrangement, and that you were down to have a trust deed payment coming out twice every month - and you couldn't understand why Think money didn't just take the extra payment off [your bank account each month].

It may be the case that Think Money have messed up. Or it may be the case that they have misunderstood you in the same way that I did.

The way I now understand your problem is that you have an agreement to make one payment per month to your TD. Unfortunately, Think Banking's records show that you will make two payments per month. This is incorrect. You need Think Banking to delete one of those payments, so that you are only making the agreed single monthly payment per month. At the same time, they need to re-instate your husband's monthly payment to HIS trust deed.

Before going ballistic with them, it might be worth trying to explain things a bit differently to see if that helps sort things out.

Whatever happens, I hope it gets sorted out. This can be a stressful enough time as it is!

Take care.

Fair enough - it was just a suggestion, based on the way I'd understood your post.

I'm done with them, they are useless. I pay them a monthly fee, and I'm never off the phone to them telling them they're doing everything wrong. Going to call my WA relationship manager tomorrow.

Well, I enjoy a good rant myself [:)], but if ranting isn't working, I try to remember the phrase:

"I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.ÔÇØ

And then try to make my point in a different way.

Your experience with Think Banking is very different to mine. I have found it very easy to set up, alter and make payments online. I have only had a couple of occasions when I have had to phone them and they have been really helpful, sorted the problem straight away. I have found the service great.

Evidently you have dealt with someone who knows basic maths. Just called them again.. Tried to put me on hold AGAIN- sorry, but the price to call them on their 0844 number is absolutely ridiculous. So no, they did not put me on hold. They were instead told to sort it out by 5pm today or they will no longer be getting any of my hard earned cash into their bank!!!! How hard is it to cancel a direct debit, and set up another one?? And budget properly? If it's not fixed by today I'll be moving to the co-op account. Yes, I'll have to budget myself, but at least I'll be saving £21.75 a month on those idiots! Think Banking - don't touch them with a barge pole

I looked at their website and it looks like a great idea. If they can't follow through on it and try to pay direct debits twice then how can they budget your money. Also, the charge on it is in line with premier bank accounts. Sometimes a basic account is the way to go. Hope you get it all sorted out.

I've contacted WA about it, even the lass I spoke to agreed it was ridiculous how long it's taking to sort out. She said she'd get their finance team to deal with it (shows how much faith WA themselves have in the think banking lot) and apologised for the hassle. Since opening the account, they have duplicated 3 direct debits, wrongly cancelled 2 of them, budgeted wrongly, and taken a fee for the privilege. Once this is sorted I'll be making sure I get at least 1 of their monthly fees put back into my account as I have spent god knows how much on phonecalls.

Hi Nemo1

I am so sorry for the problems you have experienced with this ÔÇô I realise it has been very frustrating for you. I hope that you will understand that it is not the normal standard of service we strive to provide either at Wilson Andrews or thinkbanking.

I've spoken to both thinkbanking and Wilson Andrews today to try to get this sorted ASAP. You should get a call from us to confirm that it is resolved (in fact I hope that by the time you read this you will have had a call).

Thank you

Sarah ÔÇô A member of the team at Wilson Andrews.
