Hi Thinkingofthefuture.

I have heating, boiler, plumbing, electrical cover plus some appliances covered with British Gas for a fixed monthly amount. It was included in my agreed expenditure. I have used it several times during my PTD.
I should have had the house painted outside (windows) however have left that and will do it this year now the PTD is finished and fingers crossed no major issues will arise.

I remember the day my husband and I went to sign out papers for our TD. We left the office and I watched a tear run down my husbands face. At this point I wondered if we had done the right thing. That was oct 2009. We now have 9 months left till its over. It was without a doubt the wisest decision we have made. We were drowning in a sea of debt and now have light at the end of the tunnel. I too worried about costly repair bills and how we would cope. I invested in a service contract with British gas for my heating, boiler and kitchen appliances. I also took out breakdown and repair cover with the AA which covers the first ยฃ500 of any repairs. I have claimed this several times now and it proved to be my saving grace. It is a long road ahead for you but will be worthwhile. The next 6 weeks will be the most stressful. I wish you lots of luck.

I am sure you will get there with just 9 months to go Mrs Mac. We took out boiler cover, and appliance cover. Gives piece of mind that if things go wrong you will be ok. Pity I didnt have cover for my car's turbo blowing up and ruining the engine!!!

Hi. Slightly un-related question folks.... I have been online to the legal aid website. I've ran through the eligibility calculator and the result is that my gross income is too high to qualify for legal aid. Does being in a Trust Deed change this situation at all?

Don't know if this makes a difference, but the query is in relation to raising an action and not defending an action.

Hi there.

I don't know the answer, but I doubt it will assist you I'm afraid.

No harm in calling and asking though.
