I would just like to say a genuine thank you to Mark McFadyen and Maria in the office and the rest of the team at PJG. My trust deed has finally come to an end and I can highly recommend PJG - they have been supportive, responsive, fair and helpful at every step of the way. My case was not the most straight forward with the family home & equity involved, bonus payments, promotions and job changes along the way!
Prior to entering the trust deed my income was used mainly to pay debts and I was living on credit cards month to month to survive, although I was managing to pay everything on time each month the debt was growing each month! After months of stress in the run up to Christmas 2010 I started a debt arrangement scheme with Wilson Andrews which was estimated to take 18 years to pay!! After a number of months Wilson Andrews recommended a PTD which I almost agreed to until I found this forum. I had some major concerns about some of the terms Wilson Andrews were requesting and after reading numerous negative posts here I started to look for another company to represent me and I am very thankful that I found Mark McFadyen and PJG.
The last 3.5 years were difficult at times but nowhere near as difficult or as stressful as the years before trying to manage my debt! The time really has flown in and now I am at the end I can start to look forward to the future. I am in a much better financial situation now than I have ever been in before and I have learned some hard and valuable life lessons.
Although a PTD is not an easy option and may not be the best option for everyone, I am sure it was the right thing for me and my family.
Good luck to everyone else, I hope your journeys are as pain free as mine was.
Hi SuziW
Many thanks for the kind words, I'll also pass on your thanks to Maria who you know is always there if I'm not around.
Your Trust Deed certainly had a number of areas to cover, however I always look on this as more interesting rather than more complicated. You do hold the prize for the greatest number of job changes/promotions however.
All the best for the future and I'm really glad it all worker out as promised.
