Is there a reference number which I should have to give out to any creditors/debt collection agencies?
I was asked for this a couple of weeks ago and I said I wasn't sure what it was, the company said they would refer it back to creditor
I've had a missed call from them this afternoon so I presume they will call back and I want to have it when they do
I've looked through my paperwork but can't see anything like that, where should I be looking?

No there is no refernce as such.
Its a common question creditors ask. I usually advise tell them the case code on the letter or your post code.
The AIB issue a reference, however I dont know of anyone who uses this as their own reference.

They only need the name of the firm acting on your behalf as they already know your name and address.
