Morning all

Paid my 36th TD payment to my Trustee on 1/08/2013.

Was told last week by Trustee to cancel my Standing Order at the Bank.Just waiting now to receive my `Form 5` then it will sink in.

Was thinking over the weekend how fortunate I was discovering this site, it has been a lifesaver. First discoverd it in Nov 09 but did not act until Aug 10. Took me 9 months to digest all the different scenarios I knew I was facing and to finally pick up the phone and call.

Within minutes of making that call I felt relief. Within days the TD was signed. Sounds as if I rushed in but as I said earlier I researched this site for 9 months so I had a pretty good understanding of how a TD operated.

I was also fortunate that I had no house equity, no PPI and car that was cheap but reliable.

The first 30 months of the TD `flew by` and the last 6 `dragged in` lol, well it felt that way.

I dread to think where I would be today without this site cause there was a few `dark` days pre TD.

To anyone who is thinking of entering a TD then please gather as much info as possible reg equity, car etc and be upfront with your Trustee, do not hide anything from them, they are there to help you.

I see a few people complaining about the fees IP`s charge, honestly cannot believe these people. What price is sanity?

I signed my TD with Philip Gill & Co ( Mark`s Mob ) and cannot recommend highly enough, so thanks Mark, Jean, Maria & Jamie. Also a big `thank you` to TDA, Kevin Mapstone and all the other experts on here for their advice and expertise free of charge and remember folks.......You Cannot Borrow Your Way Out Of Debt....... trust me I`ve tried it, doesn`t work !!!!

Best wishes everyone

Sherbo

Congratulations to you Sherbo.

It's very rewarding to hear that this site has been so useful for you.

I'm sure that Mark and his colleagues will feel equally pleased about your positive experience using their company for your trust deed.

Best wishes for the future. You'll be very welcome if you choose to pop into the forum from time to time to share your experience with others that are starting the journey that you've now finished.

Hi Sherbo

Thanks for the kind words. It's always nice to get positive feedback, especially on a Monday morning! I've passed on your thanks to the girls.

Forms 5, 6 and 7 are normally issued within 14 days of the 3rd anniversary, so hopefully shouldn't be too long until the whole thing is wound up.

All the best for the future.

Mark

Hi Sherbo,

Well done on the successful completion of your Trust Deed.

It's really good to read your positive experience of the Trust Deed and that it's worked out for you. Every so often I meet with someone who is unsure about dealing with their debts and if a Trust Deed actually works (the too good to be true feeling) so I refer them to this forum to read the advice and real life stories of others who have been in a similar position.

You've covered everything that people should think about when considering a Trust Deed and I'm sure others who are in the same position you were 36 months ago will benefit from this.

Good luck for the future.
