Hi

I`ve just been notified by the inland revenue of a tax rebate of £2700.00 I have overpaid tax for the years 2008 - 2011 My question is will I have to give this up to my creditors?

Hi deid

Yes, this will be looked on as income.

Mark,

Most of the overpaid tax was from 2 yrs before I took out the TD ! Would I have to give the full amount to my trustee?

Hi deid

The timing won't make a great deal of difference.

Hopefully the Trustee will agree a split and not demand the whole amount.

Hi deid

How lucky to get a tax rebate without even asking for it!! Hopefully your good luck will continue, and your Trustee will agree a split as Mark suggested.
