Hi
I have asked my trustee if I can change my payment date from 6th of each month to 30th commencing 30th March (february's payment has already been made) do you think this will be a problem?

No that shouldn't pose any problems at all.

The only problem I could see would be the issue with February. I can vaguely remember being told that there was something in the banking code about that. I don't remember ever having anything coming off my account that late in the month - most of mine comes of on the 1st.

Nothing left to discharge - everything's done and dusted!

Hi prenticebaby.

Is there a supporting reason for the change?

I only ask because this will effectively be putting you nearly a month behind on the payment schedule envisaged at the start?

Hi
The date I am paid has changed, as long as I make 36 monthly payments then surely it doesn't matter too much. I appreciate it is almost a month later but the monthly payment is still being made.
Thanks

Hi prenticebaby.

I suspect it will be fine as there is a reason behind the change.

You're correct that it doesn't really matter so long as you make the 36 monthly payments, but for obvious reasons a trust deed firm would expect that there is an explanation if a payment is skipped. Otherwise, there may be another issue being masked by the missed trust deed payment. I'm just saying this for information purposes though rather than suggesting that this was the case in any way for you.

It shouldnt matter too much to your trustee given that your pay date has changed it makes sense to move the S/O.

Hi
That will be fine. Can you just put something in writing so we have it in the file.
