Hi there
I've currently got TV package with Sky at moment and was thinking about getting BT Sports added (thankfully will still be well within my trust Deed budget)
As you have to contact BT directly to get this done, my question is do they run a credit check?
As i just started Trust Deed in Novemember im pretty certain i would fail it!
Was just wondering if anyone out there has tried this and whether they had Credit Check done or not.
Thanks
Derek
Hi Delboy69
I think the credit check may preclude you, but I bet it doesn't. I think the main difference is that this can be done on a month to month basis (I think) and therefore they can disconnect directly if there was to be any non payment.

Thanks Mark, I was thinking along the same lines.
I've got Virgin for my phone/broadband and would be able to add a TV package (including BT Sport) easily enough, without any credit check.
Plus i could also add additional Sky channels without any issue if i wanted.
Because i would be dealing with a third party, with whom i don't have any existing account, i was just slightly concerned.
Hi Delboy
Judging by the amount of BT Sports and Virgin Media junk mail I get, I think they may well just bite your hand off!

Hi Delboy69,
I don't think you should have any issues with adding a channel as you already have a TV package deal.
BT do seem to be swallowing up a lot of the sports which Sky previously had the rights to so I'm sure BT will want to bolster and increase their subscriptions.
Let us know how you get on.

Thanks guys.
And you're right about the junk mail Mark. My Recycle bag certainly comes in handy these days!
I don't think you should have any problems. Sky aren't even on my credit file and I've been a Sky customer for a number of years.
Interesting you should say that Suze, as i wondering if it would be better to keep separate Sky and Virgin accounts (as i have at mo), rather than just going with the one, in the hope of helping credit score (once i've come to end of TD obviously).
I used to work for a Credit file agency (Equifax)and things may have changed now, but back then it was better to get both Equifax and Experian files, as some companies used both but others only used the one agency.
Was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away Kevin. lol.
Mainly involved fielding irate calls from people who had failed credit checks with Carphone Warehouse or the Argos group!
As an aside to this - there are going to be some codes issued by a certain website that saves you money as it is run by an expert.
2,400 codes up for grabs tomorrow from 1pm and it is 50% off all Sky TV packages and broadband (NOT line rental).
My contract is due to expire so the other half is getting SKY TV in his name, what a surprise that will be!!!!
