I'm currently in a trust deed paying around ?ú200 per month towards it. Compared with some that's a low re-payment figure but even so it's still tight financially.
On the up side I might have the option of a new job which will increase my monthly income by around ?ú250. How much extra per month will I be expected to contribute towards my trust deed?
Also, because of my line of work, there may be an opportunity to do some consultancy work, is there any guidance on how much of this I'd be expected to contribute? There's obviously no point in me doing extra work just for it all to go towards creditors (although you could argue that I'm morally obliged to as I'm already getting off lightly being in a trsut deed!!).
Thanks.
Hi juststarted
best advice would be to speak with your Trustee and get some % confirmed.
There is no ruling as such on the amount, but suspect it won't be as much as you think

Hi juststarted
If you do accept the new job, you will probably be asked to fill in a current status report so that your trustee can re-assess your income and expenditure.
Like you said there is not point in doing extra work if you do not benefit from it. Most trustees will accept this and agree a % with you, like Mark says speak to your Trustee.
