Hi Folks,

My notice period expired on friday last week but I have not heard anything from my case manager since to tell me what's happening. I was told once before that if all was quiet then all was well, but I kind of thought that my TD becoming protected would have been something they would want to tell me. What is the usual procedure for updating a TD to protected status? Does it take a while to be confirmed?

Hi SkintAlly.

I'd suggest that you make a quick call to them just to double-check. It does sound like things are OK though.

Hi SkintAlly

It sounds as though you have nothing to worry about, and now that you 5 weeks are up creditors can't object. It may be that your Trustee is just waiting until the AIB registers it as protected on the Register of Insolvencies. Try not too worry.

Hi SkintAlly
I'm with RSM Tenon. I had a phonecall by lunchtime on "D" day to let me know that there had been no objections raised and the next step would be to apply for protection. I had that confirmed in writing a little over a week later.
Perhaps they are waiting until all the paperwork has been tied up, but I understand your need to know. Give them a quick call, but I'm sure no news is good news for now

Thanks Saabrina. I am aslo with RSM Tenon. I think my case manager might be on hols or something as she hasn't replied to my email which is not like her. I will give her a call this morning as there was another issue that I wished to discuss also. Have you had any problems Saabrina?

Got a phone call this morning and everything is ok ๐Ÿ™‚

I guess I'd like to take this opportunity to say thanks everyone on here and with RSM tenon that helped me over the past month or so. I'm looking forward to a fresh start with regards to finance in a few years time. Thanks

P.S does anybody have a time machine or cryogenic freezer typed thing that might help pass the time?

Well done SkintAlly.

Well done; I'm sure that you're pleased and relieved?

Well done also to RSM Tenon for helping you to make this happen.

Glad to hear everything is fine, SkintAlly, and that your experience with us has been a positive one.

My car is a time machine actually - whenever I get into it I feel like I am stepping backwards in time.
