Quick update.
Today I received a letter from Wylie and Bisset. The Bank of Scotland had sent the cheque to them, despite my providing the confirmation of discharge in 2009. W&B very kindly banked the cheque and forwarded a fresh one in my name with a lovely letter. So pleased.
I am however, slightly worried that W&B will think that I didn't advise the bank of my discharge, as it must have been a bit of hassle and would obviously take up someone's valuable time to sort this out for me.
I can wholeheartedly recommend W&B, by the way. They were excellent all through my trust deed.

That's great news bottomless purse. I am still waiting on replies from my claims, hopefully my TD firm will b as good as yours.
I just got my SAR back from Tesco and was raging, they sent me a cover letter stating docs included and also stated no PPI, included my application from 2000 which has PPI ticked! and sent me statements dated from Feb 12 - May 12 with an outstanding balance of ยฃ405.33! (no other staements or info though). The credit card was part of my TD so account should be closed and settled. So I looked up CEO and emailed him direct with a long winded complaint and tagged on a PPI complaint form whilst I was at it too. In less than 24 hours I got a reponse, they are investigating as a matter of priority.
Hi bottomlesspurse
If your trustee has been discharged, the is legally unable to accept the payment as his duties to the creditors have finished.
All in all, a pretty good result.

Sounds as though they didn't even ready their own documentation, Blacklily! Good luck with your complaint.
Thanks, Mark. I was particularly pleased as Wylie & Bisset could have simply returned the paperwork to the Bank of Scotland, but they took the time to bank the cheque and write one in my name with explanatory letter ๐

Just an update, I got a letter from Halifax and they have upheld my ppi claim and are sending me the cheque. Good news, ppi refund was from 3 loans that rolled over and then the last loan went into TD. They are sendin me the cheque so a success story.
Well done Blacklily, congrats on winning your claim ๐

Thanks TDA. Aye, it was fair. All premiums paid up till TD and then 8% interest on that. Thought I would win claim as these were single premium ppi (whole ppi added to total loan and paid back over term of loan including interest, which is now a big no-no and one of the most upheld claims) but thought would have fight to get payment, my best guess is Halifax would've had a note of TD but once entered they sold loan on so there was no way they could of tried using this against 'outstanding debt'.
Still a couple outstanding so fingers x
Ah... single premium payment protection insurance. I wonder how banks ever concluded that their clients would be best served by loaning them the advance premium on an extended insurance policy and then charging interest on the advance?!
Lol TDA, Making money was definitely more important than customers best interests.
I got my cheque yesterday, really quick.
Great stuff, Blacklily - enjoy ๐
