Hi

Can anyone advise how a Trustee makes a claims for PPI refunds? Are the claims made to the companies in the TD or are you supposed to remember everyone you've ever had credit from (but since paid) to be able to make a claim?

Thanks.

Domino

All PPi that was missold should be reclaimed by your trustee on your behalf, Domino99 - not just that relating to debts in the trust deed

Thanks Kevin. This is what I had assumed - just need to start racking my brains as to who I may have taken a CC or loan from in the past 10 years or so. Is there a time limit for putting in claims - to be honest I'd rather the claims be started now rather than waiting for Trustee to start at the end of the term.

Thanks.

Domino

Hi Domino99,

A credit search will show up any credit that you have had in the past so this may be a good starting point.

I'm surprised to hear that you Trustee hasn't started looking into claims already. As soon as we take on a new case we start those investigations as it can be a time consuming process

Hi Domino

If they haven't started to look into them, you should ask your Trustee if it their intention to do this. Otherwise you may end up like the other posters on the forum where the Trustee leaves it till the last minute and then extends the Trust Deed.
