Hi there,
I am 10 months into my TD and my TD company are looking into mis-sold PPI. I received a phone call asking for details of where I was working in specific years.. The years of which I took out a loan/ credit card. Is this a common question to ask? I don't want anyone calling up my previous employers.
Hi Nemo
I don't think it relates to this. It's probably to check if you were self employed or something as it should not have been sold/offered if you were.

They do need to know some details about your employment and maybe medical history too if they are trying to assess whether you may have been missold, Nemo1. Nothing sinister - and I am certain they will not be calling your previous employers.
Hi there, I have gone through the same thing. It isnt anything to worry about. I asked them why they were asking me all these questions and basically they just want to know if you would have been covered from your previous employer on things like sickness pay. I was entitled to 6 months full pay then 6 months half pay. Therefore they have said I was mis-sold PPI as I would have never been able to claim on it. They have made one successful claim from Lloyds and are in the process of waiting for another 2 credit card companies to come back to them. At least they have started the ball rolling for you now. My contributions finished a year ago and only started the PPI investigations in February when I hounded them for my discharge papers!!! I'm still waiting! TD started in June 2008!
