Thats ok shona thanks, didnt want to hassle them yesterday they said they were short staffed with only two people on and were really busy,it was good to find out how much i had to pay though just incase i was to get paid off i would have used that money, but like you say i might need to live off that.
I did call Welfare Rights to see what they thought so im waiting on a call back today to see what the best thing is to do,its really annoying as ive been paying for the last two & a half years or so and never missed a payment.

Hi, as soon as you stop earning- you stop paying. It's that simple. Knowing who you work for, I can't see them giving you any more than they have to!

Hi shogun82.

Hopefully Shona will visit the forum soon.

I suspect she may have an insight into how this firm might be a little flexible where a trust deed that has almost reached the end is disturbed by something unfortunate that is out of the control of their client.

Hi Shogun82,
So sorry to read of your ill health and your employer's attitude. Worrying about that and your TD must be making your health even worse. I do hope that you manage to get a good outcome re your Trust Deed. If you are chronically ill, it is worth looking at whether you can claim Disability Living Allowance. You can download the form from the DirectGov site (not sure if I am allowed to add links). Ideally, if someone can help you who has a bit of experience of DLA, sit with them and fill it in. Concentrate on describing how your illness affects your every day life, rather than the medical jargon. If you need help with normal tasks describe this in detail. If you are on medication with side effects, describe how the side effects affect your ability to function. The benefit is not taxable and I'm sure would be a help.
Good luck x

onwards and upwards!

Hi shogun82.

I'd be very surprised if your trustee didn't welcome this offer of third party funds to complete your payments (and especially as they know of the situation with your work).

Why don't you get in touch and ask them their thoughts?

No reason at all why not - just speak to your trustee and make sure that it is clear what is being agreed first.

Hi, sorry to take so long to get back. You are not obliged to find a third party to pay the remaining funds. When you spoke to Anne, you only asked what you had left to pay, you didn't mention your ill health to her. I have spoken to her, and the Trustee is happy to let things just lie as they are if, you are paid off due to I'll health. You have always cooperated fully, and paid all your payments. What has happened now is out of your control, and they will not penalise you for it. If you are paid off, all they need is your sick line, and that will be the end of your contributions. Please don't make yourself more anxious over this, it will not do your health any good.
