I went into Sequestration in May 2011 through PKF, I have complied with every 6 monthly status update, this time the correspondence was from BDO and not PKF, after a search online I see that they have merged. Is this likely to have any adverse effect on my last year or will things carry on the same. I have not had any notification from either PKF or BDO other than the normal letter for income & expenditure update. Just worried that they may have moved the goal posts and what expenditure I was allowed previously may not now be allowed.

Hi Juliet,

In short the merger shall have no effect on your case. It's likely that the same operator administers your case. Try not to worry, I am sure you will find that your next review goes as smoothly as the previous one.

Hi Juliet.

In reality I'm sure most trustees take a very similar view on allowable expenses.

There are guidelines that most firms follow in this respect.

Hi Juliet

Your Trustee will almost certainly be the same person ( Bryan or Anne probably)

Other than the name change, I wouldn't expect there to be any great difrerence.

Was speaking to a former employer of PKF who is now employed by BDO and can confirm that Bryan and presumably Anne are still there employed with BDO, so I believe they are still managing their own cases.
