Hi I've gone from a full time job down to part time as I couldn't afford to keep paying out for childcare etc.. I really want to go into a trust deed but I am thinking about becoming a childminder would a trust deed stop me from running my own childminding business TIA

Hi Foxxymelons and welcome to the forum.

There is nothing within the trust deed to stop you running your own business and I have a small number of trust deed cases who work as childminders.

I know the check are quite vigorous, although I wouldn't imagine your credit file would have a big impact on this.

I don't think that the checks are as rigorous as you might think to be honest - I very much doubt a trust deed would cause you any problem, other than stopping you from getting credit or a business bank account possibly.
