Hi bernie58.

Hopefully someone can share their own experience with you.

Remember that it could vary from case to case though.

Hi Bernie58

It's an issue which should be discussed and agreed at the meeting.

It's an area which seems to range from 50% to 100%, although the 100% makes no sense as the person would not do it again and therefore no one benefits.

We tend to look on evertime if it is rare or very infrequent, then we have no interest. If it is regular, then I think the Trust Deed receiving 35% is fair as this gives the creditors something and allows the individual to benefit.

Hi bernie58.

I think some firms hold face-to-face meetings as standard, while others make them available only to people that request them.

We think they're a really good idea for everyone before they sign a trust deed. The opportunity they provide to ask questions and test understanding seems to be invaluable.

It is noticeable that many of the areas of confusion that are posted on the forum are written by members that didn't have (or perhaps it's better to say weren't encouraged to have) such a meeting.

Hi bernie58

Unfortunately no. This will be seen as being in addition to the monthly contribution.

A 5 year Trust Deed?

You tend to find that people mostly take to forums to complain which is part of what we are here for. I am sure kpmg have plenty happy customers.
