Another question.... My plate was valued last year and been asked to release 840 from it, but I had it valued today myself today and it come in at 1250. Can I sell it and give the trustee 840 as he requested this figure in writing or will he re value it next month, if so will the extra go towards my house equity?

Hi Dollybee.
I think this is going to be a question for your Trustee as I doubt there is a right or wrong answer.
Will be interesting to hear how Mark, Shona or Kevin would look at such a situation.

It's an interesting point. The plate as such is not really yours to sell, but that said I'm sure the Trustee would accept £840 for it and discharge his interest to allow you to sell it at the higher amount.

I have always wanted a private plate!!
Guy at work bought one for his wife on her 50th birthday..........she went totally ballistic at him,as it had her age and initials on it!!!
