Hi guys,

Just had a letter drop through my door from my current trustee. in which it basically outlines he has "assumed and additional trustee", but that he has also "resigned as trustee". I take it this means he has left the company or something and has put someone else in his place to take over this trust deed?

will this have any effect on my trust deed or should everything still be exactly the same, just closed by someone else now (my trust deed only has about 12 weeks left)?

Thanks for the help, I suspect this is nothing major, but just thought I would make sure ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi mick1985

It should not really make a difference you. It may simply be that your Trustee has retired, or some other simple explanation. Don't worry.

Hi mick1985.

I very much doubt that there is anything to worry about.

As with any other business, people will move on from time to time. It doesn't change the nature of your agreement in any way. There's just a new person that is now ultimately responsible for the proper conduct of your case.

Hi mick

as stated above, this normally occurs when a Trustee retires ( or loses his permit!!)

The changeover should not have any real effect on things.

thanks for the responses guys, I did think it would be a pretty routine thing, but it never hurts to ask people in the know ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Mick

As the others have said, this is nothing to be worried about - just something that happens when a trustee leaves a firm and another insolvency practitioner is taking over responsibility for the case. The practicalities of your trust deed from your point of view are entirely unaffected.

Bet everyone's curious who it is and why he left/retired!

I had the same letter as mick1985, glad this is nothing to worry about but my standing order at the bank goes out in my trustees name. I take it that as he will no longer be there this should be changed?

Sorry to disappoint, Mark, but there isn't any juicy gossip! It's just one of the IPs here at RSM Tenon moving on to pastures new.

To AlphaB - don't worry, your standing order doesn't need to be changed.
